In our country, the State Grid Corporation and China Southern Grid Corporation undertake the national grid operation. State Grid Corporation is responsible for 26 provinces and cities, while China Southern Power Grid Corporation is responsible for Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hainan and other five southern provinces. The State Grid Corporation and China Southern Power Grid Corporation are responsible for the overall planning of power inspection.
Review on development of electric inspection for UAV in China
1) Establish pilot projects:
In 2009, the State Grid set up a special project of UAV inspection, which has been continuously piloted by power companies around the country within 6 years and achieved good results
In 2011, China Southern Power Grid set up a pilot project, which lasted four years to complete various commissioning and acceptance work.
2) Deployment + Pilot promotion:
In 2013, China Southern Power Grid formulated the deployment of "gradually promoting transmission line machine patrol operation".
In March 2013, State Grid Corporation issued the pilot work plan of the mode of helicopter, UAV and manual cooperative inspection for power transmission lines.
The State Grid Corporation is piloting the new inspection model in 10 provinces.
3) Human patrol is the main, supplemented by aircraft patrol
In 2015, the pilot work of various regions was completed acceptance, the pilot experience was summarized, and the standard system was improved.
In 2014, China Southern Power Grid began to try out multi-rotor UAV in the team, promote training by competition, and carry out multi-rotor UAV competition.
4) Aircraft patrol is the main, people patrol is auxiliary
In 2015, the State Grid Corporation systematically promoted the new transmission line patrol mode, which is coordinated by helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and human patrol.
In order to improve the efficiency and quality of line inspection, China Southern Power Grid Corporation plans to basically realize the cooperative inspection goal of "machine patrol as the main part and human patrol as the auxiliary part" in 2020.
